The debut album from Sightseer entitled “What Tomorrow Brings” is comprised of 11 songs of loss, longing, and redemption. Drawing inspiration from growing up on the desolate Canadian plains of Alberta, Patti-Anne Mathison along with the members of Sightseer have crafted a series of songs with lyrics and music that paint a picture as much as tell a story. The tracks on “What Tomorrow Brings” range from “Red Eye Haze”, a boisterous down-home homage to whiskey, to “Biggest Storms”...quiet, introspective, and raw, to “Read it and Weep”…. a tale of heartbreak within a down n’ dirty prairie rock song. “Patsy Cline” is a creepy Alice in Wonderland inspired tale layered with distorted guitars and ethereal vocals, while “Athabasca” is a tender lament about what could have been.
